It’s August and for many, many people that means going back to school. The teachers have already started preparing their classrooms and their lesson plans. The kids are squeezing in the last few days of summer play and good times – not that school days aren’t good times, but you know.
No back to school preparation can be complete without many playings of Pink Floyd’s Another Brick In The Wall. Enjoy the video. That weird thing at the end that rings and has some sort of wheel on it is a telephone – a really old telephone.
I am not another brick in the wall. I don’t need no education. I don’t need no thought control. I’ll take some rock and roll – really loud please. And I don’t mind having a log to saw on every now and then. And I definitely need meat – lots of good old red meat, smoked fiercely but not cooked beyond a warm center. And about a gallon of iced tea and then 12 cups of coffee. That will make a fine day – at least fine enough. A piece of pie would be a real bonus. I am not a brick in the wall.
Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side Of The Moon” is about as mellow as we get at the School Of Hard Rocks. This video is great. It has rock and rock climbing, terrain flight and astrophysics. Marc-Andre Ranger did a great job on the video. And Pink Floyd, well, they are Pink Floyd. Enjoy – we are back at it tomorrow.
